No change in hard drive performance over the old PSU, but at least the new one is more reliable, has enough SATA power plugs without using an adapter, and is modular. Ssd Freeze

I never would have thought to try this but it worked perfectly! I did a Lenovo hardware check from my BIOS but no errors were found. I know one has to be careful when making changes to the registry, but I've never had a problem with this method and I am careful only to delete those files But I had to re clone my original drive.

i contacted nvidea and they are now aware that this might be the problem they will help out others with this information, most people blamed nvidea and windows software for this OK, it wasn't new s/w as the freezes had been going on for about a week.
