I have upgraded the Intel AHCI drivers to the latest. I just installed linux on its own hard drive now windows xp wont boot solved BSOD`d now won`t detect hard drive. Or otherwise, you can use some other different Hard disk in your computer and try to install the same windows, just for testing purpose, if the other hard drive is working The drives you mark as in the RAID Config utility should become RAID members and the other disks should continue to function as AHCI single disks. I guess this marks closure to the issue, if such things are tracked.
